PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

WESTVILLE — One person was injured in an accident involving two motorcycles Sunday.

Heather M. Burton, 52, and Adrian V. O’Neil, 49, both of Brockville, Ontario, were headed northbound on State Route 37 riding motorcycles when Burton’s vehicle struck O’Neil’s, causing both drivers to be ejected from their motorcycles, Malone-based State Police said.

The drivers were slowing down to turn onto County Route 4, but Burton wasn’t able to slow down in time because of wet roads, police said.

Burton was taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center with minor injuries and O’Neil had no injuries, police said.

No tickets were issued.

PLATTSBURGH — A passerby reported a man who fell from his bicycle in the roadway near South Catherine Street and Flynn Avenue Friday night.

At about 8:44 p.m., Donald Baker, 47, of Plattsburgh, reportedly fell off his bicycle and lost consciousness, Plattsburgh City Police said.

He was transported to CVPH Medical Center with a head injury, police said.

He was treated and later released, according to hospital officials.

CONSTABLE — A Constable woman was recently injured in a one-car motor vehicle accident.

According to Malone-based State Police, Helen L. Leahy, 56, was driving east on State Route 122 in the Town of Constable at 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, when, for an unknown reason, her vehicle gradually exited the south shoulder of the road.

Upon doing so, police said, the vehicle struck the guide wires of a NYSEG utility pole, followed by a cement storm drain, before coming to rest in a field.

Leahy was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone for neck and back pain.

No tickets were issued, police said.
