Peru School Board holding special meeting today

PERU — The Peru School Board will hold a special meeting 6 p.m. today in the Secondary School Community Room.

The board is expected to immediately proceed into executive session to discuss the appointment of a particular individual. No other action is planned.

The board’s regular meeting will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday in the same location. Again, an executive session is planned immediately after the meeting opens. The regular session is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The agenda includes recognition of area veterans, acceptance of the tax collector’s reports and adoption of a revised mission statement.



Chateaugay School Board sets agenda for meeting

CHATEAUGAY — The Chateaugay Central School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Agenda items include action on adding to the substitute teacher list and an executive session to discuss personnel matters as they relate to specific individuals and contractual matters.

The public is welcome.



Ti Ferry closed for season

TICONDEROGA — The Ticonderoga Ferry has closed for the season.

Owners Michael and Alison Matot said in an email that they appreciated everyone’s patronage this year. The ferry is independently owned and operates between Ticonderoga and Shoreham, Vt., daily from April into October.


Clinton Co. Legislature to meet Wednesday

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Legislative Chambers on the second floor of the Clinton County Government Center, 137 Margaret St.

Among the resolutions to be acted upon are advertising public hearings on the 2014 budget and a grant application for funding to the State Housing Trust Fund, Office of Community Renewal; and an appointment to the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System.

All meetings are open to the public.
