FELONY ARRESTS

MINEVILLE — A Mineville man was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening law enforcement on his Facebook page.

Justin Larmore, 23, was taken into custody by the Essex County Sheriff’s Office Friday after attempting to flee his residence, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Larmore was charged with one count of making a terrorist threat, a felony, and one count of resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.

He allegedly made the threats Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office reported. Larmore wrote on his Facebook page “Officers in Moriah or in my sight of view. I will do whatever I can to protect the people you abuse. I will not let you come closer than 10 feet to me or I will KILL YOU. You will be shot on sight ... You will pay for the unjust actions ever taken by any cop,” according to police.

Larmore was arraigned before Moriah Town Justice Brian Venne and sent to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

He is scheduled to reappear in Moriah Town Court at 4 p.m. March 19.

New York State Police assisted in the investigation.
