MALONE — A Malone man was in stable condition after being struck by a bus Saturday afternoon.
According to Malone Village Police, Scott Taylor, 45, was crossing West Main Street at its intersection with Webster Street in Malone on foot when he was hit by a coach charter bus at 3:45 p.m.
The bus, driven by Timothy Durant, 52, of Brooklyn, was heading east on West Main Street with passengers on board when the incident occurred.
Taylor was transported by Malone EMS to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, police said, and was in stable condition Sunday morning.
Police noted that the roadway was slippery and covered in snow when the collision occurred, but the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
KEENE — Two people were injured in a one-car accident Saturday evening.
According to State Police based in Wilmington, Galo Stanko, 62, of Rochelle Park, N.J.,was driving east on State Route 73 in the Town of Keene at 4 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered road, causing the automobile to roll over.
Sharon Ivory, 51, of Teaneck, N.J., had been sitting in the front passenger seat at the time of the accident and had to be extracted from the vehicle by Keene and Keene Valley fire and rescue squads.
She was transported to Elizabethtown Community Hospital with a head injury, believed to be a concussion, police said.
A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year-old Rafaelia Perez of Brooklyn, was transported to the same hospital with bumps and bruises.
Information regarding Perez and Ivory’s medical conditions was not available Sunday.
Police said Stanko was issued tickets for failure to keep right and having inadequate tires with insufficient tread.
MALONE — A Bronx man recently released from Bare Hill Correctional Facility is in Franklin County Jail awaiting possible extradition to Pennsylvania.
