“Barnes dominated the inside for us defensively,” said Chateaugay coach Mike Martin.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-2 lead in the first quarter and held on the rest of the way, despite the Lumberjacks getting to within five at one time in the fourth.

“We had a long bus ride, but the kids came out with defensive intensity,” said Martin.

Mitch Keniston led Tupper Lake with 23 points, including 19 in the second half. Cody Lapierre chipped in with 11.
