---- — ELIZABETHTOWN — An Elizabethtown woman was hurt in a two-car accident 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 9N and Court Street in Elizabethtown.
Jande Hildebrandt, 83, from Elizabethtown, stopped at the stop sign and then onto Route 9 in front of Paul Kaullman, according to State Police. Kaullman, 74, from New Russia, hit Hildebrandt in the front, driver’s side of her vehicle, causing Hildebrandt to hit her head on the driver-side window. She was transported to Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
Hildebrandt was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way. Kaullman had a suspended license for a lapse of insurance, was arrested and given appearance for court, police said. He is to appear March 14 in Elizabethtown Town Court.
AUSABLE— A Morrisonville woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash 11:47 p.m. Saturday in Ausable.
Mary Ellen Burtis, 25, from Morrisonville was driving on Dry Bridge Road in Ausable with her sister, Melina Jessey, when Burtis lost control on the slippery road.
Burtis complained of head pain, but was not transported.
BURKE — Slippery roads in the Town of Burke caused an accident Saturday evening.
Timothy Rougier, 52, from Plattsburgh, was driving a 1999 Honda Passport north on Depot Street with Amanda Harrison, 27, in the car at about 7:30 p.m. when he lost control at a bend in the road. He slid off the icy road and hit a tree, Police said.
Harrison’s ankle was broken. She was treated at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone.
Rougier was issued a ticket for speed unreasonable for roadway conditions.
RAY BROOK — A Vermont man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash 8 a.m. Saturday Gillespir Drive in St. Armand.
A Hundai Santa Fe driven by William Bicknell, 23, from Enosburg Fall, Vt., crossed the center lane and hit a GMC pick-up truck driven by Christopher Ballou, 32, from Ausable Forks, according to State Police. Bicknell complained of head pain.
No one was transported, but Bicknell was treated at a later time.
Bicknell was issued three tickets for speed unreasonable, no seatbelt and failure to maintain lane.
CHAZY — A 19-year-old driver from Jericho, Vt., was injured in a accident on Route 11 in Chazy at about 7 a.m. Saturday.
Andrew Carbee, driving a Chevy pick-up truck, failed to straighten out his wheel after a turn in the roadway on Route 11, according to State Police. This caused him to drive off the road and hit a telephone pole. Carbee told Chazy Police that it was not from a distraction.
He suffered head and face injuries from the airbag and was transported to CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
CHAZY — A Mooers man was injured on frost-covered Miner Farm Road on the morning of Feb. 26.
Mooers resident Joshua Mooney, 23, was driving an 2002 Chrysler van southeast on Miner Farm Road when he tried to make a left turn and lost control on the slick roadway. Mooney slid off the north shoulder, struck multiple trees and a road sign.
Mooney complained of soreness and aches but was not transported. He was issued a ticket for speed unreasonable for road conditions.
