FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman was arrested on a charge of felony forgery Sept. 18. 

Rachel Preston, 27, allegedly stole two blank checks and subsequently forged and cashed them, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Preston was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and forgery in the second degree, a felony, police said.

She is currently in Clinton County Jail, police said.

No further information was available.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

WAVERLY — One woman was injured in a motorcycle accident involving a deer Saturday. 

At about 1:37 p.m., Lanny H. Gagnier, 56, of St. Regis Falls, struck a deer while traveling on a motorcycle on State Route 458, Malone-based State Police said.

The passenger, Linda Jenkins, 52, was transported to Potsdam Hospital for facial lacerations. Gagnier had an injury to his left shoulder but refused treatment, police said.

The deer fled the scene and no tickets were issued.

BOMBAY — One woman was injured in a two-car accident Friday.

At about 12:53 p.m. at the intersection of county routes 1 and 4, Kenneth Cline, 87, of St. Andrews, Ontario, stopped for a stop sign but continued into the intersection, striking a second vehicle that had the right-of-way, driven by Amy Burdick, 31, of Westville, Malone-based State Police said.

The passenger in Cline’s vehicle, Margeurite Cline, 86, also of St. Andrews, Ontario, was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital with a complaint of chest pain, police said.

Mr. Cline was ticketed with failure to yield to right of way.

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was injured in a one-car accident Sept. 20.

Nicholas Faubert, 34, was headed south on Peru Street when he left the roadway, striking a tree, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Faubert complained of head pain and was transported to CVPH Medical Center, police said.

No tickets were issued.

MOIRA — One woman was injured in a one-car accident Sept. 19.

At about 10: 36 a.m., Amanda D. Webster, 20, of Brasher Falls, N.Y., was traveling westbound on County Route 6 when she failed to negotiate a left hand turn, causing the left tire to sink in the shoulder. The vehicle subsequently rolled over, Malone-based State Police said.

Webster complained of head pain and was transported to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, police said.

She was ticketed for an uninspected vehicle.
