FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged May 27 with burglary.

After State Police dispatchers received a report of a burglary in progress, troopers found Jamie E. Blandin inside a residence located at 20 Aspen Court in the Town of Plattsburgh, Malone-based State Police said.

Blandin told police the residence was vacant and that he had been living there, police said.

Blandin was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, a felony.

He was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

MOOERS — A Champlain man was charged Wednesday with felony drunken driving.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped Kevin L. LaValley, 31, for speeding on State Route 22 in the Town of Mooers Wednesday evening, according to a news release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

The deputies determined LaValley was intoxicated and he was placed under arrest just before 7:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department said.

LaValley’s charges are driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction, a felony; driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more with a previous conviction, a felony; speed more than 55 mph, a violation; unsafe tires, a violation; consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, a violation; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

LaValley was arraigned in Mooers Town Court and was sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

MOOERS — A Mooers sex offender was arrested Tuesday for allegedly failing to report a change of address, as law requires.

Shawn M. Gardner, 27, allegedly failed to notify the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office of his change of address in accordance with the Sex Offender Registration Act, the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Gardner was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday and was charged with failure to notify a change of address, a felony.

He was released on an appearance ticket for June 11 in Altona Town Court.

The most recent address for Gardner listed on New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services’ website is 155 Bashaw Road in Mooers.

On May 4, 2004, Gardner was convicted of having sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl, according to state agency’s online records.

He was originally arrested in Vermont, the records show.

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh sex offender was arrested Monday for allegedly failing to report a change of address, as law requires.

Shane L. Agnew, 22, allegedly failed to notify the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office of his change of address in accordance with the Sex Offender Registration Act, the Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Agnew was taken into custody at 10:43 p.m. Monday and was charged with failure to notify a change of address, a felony.

He was arraigned in Champlain Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

The most recent address for Agnew listed on New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services’ website is 264 Margaret St., apartment C, in the City of Plattsburgh.

On Oct. 26, 2011, Agnew was convicted of second-degree rape where the perpetrator is 18 years old or older and has intercourse with a person younger than 15, according to the state agency’s online records.

The incident included sexual intercourse and kidnapping/unlawful imprisonment, the records show.

Agnew was originally arrested by Plattsburgh City Police.

PLATTSBURGH—A man was arrested for allegedly failing to register as a sex offender.

Hagen Dominie, 19, of Champlain was arrested on Thursday, June 6, at 11:20 p.m.

Plattsburgh City Police said that someone had called the station and reported Dominie’s status. An investigation led to his arrest in Plattsburgh.

City PD also said that Dominie’s residence was shown to be in Vermont, but he was living in New York and had failed to report.

He was charged with violating sex offender registry requirement, first offense, a felony. He was arraigned at Plattsburgh City Court and sent to County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.

VIOLATION OF PROBATION

SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly violated the conditions of his sentencing.

Wesley R. Strack, 30, allegedly violated his sentencing conditions for a previous felony conviction of criminal mischief, the Saranac Lake Police Department said.

Strack was served with a Franklin County Court arrest warrant at 8:15 a.m. Thursday and was sent to Franklin County Jail to await an appearance in Franklin County Court to answer to the charge, police said.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENT

NORTH HUDSON — A man was injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon.

Richard Patnode, 57, of Ticonderoga, was riding his motorcycle on the Tracey Road in North Hudson at 4:29 p.m. when he lost control and exited the roadway.

State Police said that the accident was caused by inexperience, as Patnode was a new motorcyclist.

Patnode suffered bruises and contusions and was transported to Elizabethtown Community Hospital, and then to Inter-Lakes Health in Ticonderoga. No additional information about his condition was available Sunday evening.
