Franklin County Court: Dec. 23, 2013

MALONE — The following cases were recently heard before Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr.: 

Antonio Bruno, 35, an inmate at Upstate Correctional Facility, pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted promotion of prison contraband, stemming from an incident Sept. 19, 2012.

Sentencing is set for March 3.

Scott Baker, 29, of Old Wawbeek Road, Tupper Lake, was sentenced to six months in County Jail for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and five years of concurrent probation on five other related counts.

He was indicted by a grand jury for three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, stemming from incidents June 14 and June 20.

Baker was also fined $3,000, ordered to pay $600 in restitution, and his driver’s license was suspended for six months.

Joseph O’Rourke, 34, of West Main Street, Malone, was sentenced to six months in County Jail for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and five years of concurrent probation on three related counts.

He was indicted by a grand jury for two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, stemming from incidents June 23 and July 5.

O’Rourke was also ordered to pay a $300 finer and $35 in restitution, and his driver’s license was suspended for six months.

Randy J. Dwyer, 48, of Lyon Mountain was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for violating the terms of his court-ordered probation on a felony drunken-driving charge.

Michael Ledger, 25, of Pearl Street, Malone, was sentenced to 18 months in state prison for violating the terms of his court-ordered probation on a conviction for second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
