CHESTERFIELD — A Chesterfield man faces multiple charges following an alleged domestic dispute.
Plattsburgh-based State Police on Thursday arrested Adam R Hanson, 29, in Chesterfield at about 1:24pm.
Hanson allegedly got into an altercation with his Melissa Peresette whom police found with bruises on her neck, back and knees as well as a lump on the back of her head. He was charged with two counts of second-degree strangulation, a felony and three counts of assault with intention to cause physical injury; six counts of second-degree unlawful imprisonment, and fourth-degree criminal mischief, all misdemeanors.
CHAZY — One person was injured in a July 31 accident involving two ATVs.
Shortly before 4:53 p.m., Deanna Mumley, 14, of Rouses Point and Dartanion A. Bechard, 15, of Chazy were each riding ATVs on Trombly Lane near Lake Shore Road/County Route 22, according to a State Police blotter entry.
Mumley allegedly failed to observe Bechard’s ATV stopping due to dust that had been disturbed by the vehicles and her vehicle struck his, Chazy-based State Police said.
No further information was available.
CHAZY — A Milton, Vt., woman was involved in a motorcycle accident Saturday.
At about 4:30 p.m., Jennifer Perez, 37, of New York, was driving a 2005 sedan eastbound on State Route 9, did not see the stop signs near the intersection at Miner Farm Road and failed to yield for Tirah L Constant, 44, who was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson, Chazy-based State Police said.
According to police, Tirah took evasive action to try to avoid coming into contact with Perez’s vehicle but overturned in the process. The two vehicles did not collide.
Police issued Perez two uniform traffic tickets. No further information was available as of Sunday evening.
