Brockway Mechanical swept Plattsburgh Ford Renegades, 7-4, 11-2.
PERU -- Matt Drollette and Tanner Lecuyer went the distance for pitching wins Sunday as Brockway Mechanical swept a doubleheader -- 7-4 and 11-2 -- from the Plattsburgh Ford Renegades in Adirondack Senior Babe Ruth action at Sullivan Park.
Lecuyer struck out 12 and allowed eight hits in the first game, and Matt Drollette fanned five and surrendered one hit -- a double by Russell Merrill -- in getting the win in Game 2.
Cory Trombley paced the Hitmen in the opener with three hits, including a triple. Kyle Rascoe and Tyler Mesec each added a double and single, while Matt Brown and Nick Gero had doubles.
Chris Vliege, Cody Foster and losing pitcher Kalob Drollette, who struck out five in going the route, led the Renegades with two hits apiece, with Vliege getting a triple and Foster, a double.
Plattsburgh Ford held a 4-0 lead after two.
In Game 2, Josh Chapman, Mesec and Gero rapped out two hits each for Brockway Mechanical (7-3), with Gero and Rascoe getting doubles.
Casey Letourneau's three-run double in a seven-run sixth inning was the biggest blow for the Hitmen.
