PLATTSBURGH — It's a light year, as far as contested races, but seven villages will be holding elections today.
The three biggest races are the mayoral contests in Champlain, Port Henry and Lake Placid, where all the incumbents face challengers.
Here's a look at who's up for election in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties:
BURKE
Village Board (one seat): Patsy Rousell.
Polls are open from noon to 9 p.m. at the Town Office, 842 Depot St. in Burke.
CHAMPLAIN
Mayor: Jeffrey Moore and Michael Rock.
Village Board (two seats): Gregory Martin and Kim Trombley.
Voting will be held from noon to 9 p.m. at the Village Offices at 1104 Route 9.
CHATEAUGAY
Mayor: D. Billy Jones.
Village Board (two seats): Francis Boadway and Charles Cheyne.
Polls are open from noon to 9 p.m. at the Village Offices at 8 Iron Ave.
DANNEMORA
Village Board (two seats): Eric Jarvis and Richard Scholl.
Village justice: Dan Lucia and Kristine Bowman.
Voting will be held from noon to 9 p.m. at the Village Offices at 121 Emmons St.
LAKE PLACID
Mayor: Craig Randall, Jamie Rogers and Peter Roy.
Trustee (two seats): Zay Curtis, Art Devlin, Jason Leon and Paul Strack.
Voting will be held at the Town Hall in Lake Placid from noon to 9 p.m.
PORT HENRY
Mayor: Gary Cooke and Ernest Guerin.
Village Board (two seats): James Hughes and John "Jack" Sheldon.
Voting will take place from noon to 9 p.m. at the Port Henry fire station.
ROUSES POINT
Village Board (two seats): John Cooper and Brian Jefferson.
Village justice: John LaBonte.
Voting will be held from noon to 9 p.m. at Halstead Hall in the Civic Center at 39 Lake St.
