---- — DRAPEAU - A Mass of Christian burial for Josephine Drapeau, 95, formerly of Jenkins Street and Apple Valley Senior Housing, was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru. Josephine died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Oct. 28, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh. Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish Pastor, celebrated the Mass. Eucharistic Minister was Barbara Eamer. Altar servers were Lawrence Ewald, Robert Herforth, and Peter Keenan. Organist was Lynn Wilke. Vocalist was Elizabeth Churchill. The pall was placed by her children, Joseph Drapeau, Wayne Drapeau, Angela LeBel, Glen Drapeau, Jackie Andrews, Sheila Poindexter,and Gloria Drapeau. The Bible was placed by son, Joseph Drapeau. The crucifix's were placed by daughter Sheila Poindexter. The rosary was placed by daughter Angela LeBel. Readers were daughter, Jackie Andrews, son, Wayne Drapeau, and daughter, Gloria Drapeau. The Eucharistic gifts were presented by grandson, Brendan Andrews, and granddaughter, Shelana Poindexter. Words of remembrance were offered by daughter, Jackie Andrews. Pallbearers were son-in-law, Patrick Andrews, and family friends, Craig Allen, Dana Atwood, Curry Jolicoeur, William Giroux and Robert Moffat. Committal prayers and burial followed in the parish cemetery, led by Rev. Shnob. A gathering followed at St. Augustine's Parish Center. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
