---- — LUKASIEWICZ - A Mass of Christian burial was concelebrated Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, from Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh, N.Y. for Joan T. "Joanie" Lukasiewicz, 65, of Beekmantown, N.Y., who died on Tuesday, Aug. 13, after a courageous fight with cancer. Rev. William G. Reamer, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church and Chaplain of CVPH Medical Center celebrated the Mass, in the presence was Bishop Terry R. LaValley. Msgr. Dennis Duprey, Rev. Scott Seymour, Rev. Bill Edwards, Rev. John Looby, Rev. Dan Keefe, Rev. Norman Cote and Rev. William Gordon concelebrated the Mass. Altar servers were Christopher and Bradley Neureuther. Guitarist and soloist was Randy Pulsifer. Mark Lukasiewicz and Jill O'Brien, her children, placed the pall. Her daughter Jill O'Brien placed the crucifix. Her son Mark Lukasiewicz and daughter-in-law Danielle Lukasiewicz read from scripture. Gospel and General Intercession were proclaimed by Deacon Jack Cogan. Deacon of the cup was Deacon Tyrone Rabideau. Taryn and Lauryn Maleski presented the gifts. Final commendations were given by Bishop Terry R. LaValley. Deacon Jack Lukasiewicz gave remarks of remembrance of his wife's life. Pallbearers were Jess Mundy, Diane Leonard, Dave Darrah, Jeffrey O'Brien, Nathan O'Brien, Paul Maleski, Amy and Tom Parent. CVPH Nurses presented as honor guard. Burial followed in St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery on Cumberland Head where Rev. William G. Reamer read committal prayers. Nurses in attendance conducted a graveside ceremony and each placed a red rose upon Joanie's casket. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
