---- — LAURIN - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 26, at St. Joseph's Church in Coopersville for Rita Esther Laurin, 81, of Lake Shore Road, Chazy, who died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. Rev. Clyde A. Lewis, Pastor, celebrated the Mass and was assisted by Deacon Noel Hinerth. Altar server was Eleanor Reynolds. Organist and soloist was Buffy Little. Rita's twin sister, Lita, and her children, Robert Laurin, Susan LaBelle and Jeannine Laurin, placed the funeral pall. Her husband, Francis, placed the crucifix. Grandchildren Michael and Damie Bruley read from scripture and grandchildren Doreen and Miranda and great-grandchildren, Madison, Kali, Rachel, Jolie, Rowan and Wyatt presented the gifts. Pallbearers were grandchildren Jason Laurin, Michael Bruley, Seth Matott-LaBelle, Nadine Matott-LaBelle, Damie Bruley and Jamie Sue LaBelle. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain.
