---- — DOWNS - A Mass of Christian burial for Ann Louise Downs, 85, of the Downs Road, Cadyville, was celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 4, at the St. James Church in Cadyville. Ann joined her loving husband Hubert, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, from the CVPH Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. Msgr. Lawrence M. Deno, parish Pastor, celebrated. Fr. John L. "Jack" Downs, concelebrated. Musicians were Tom Venne and Julie Hogan. The pall was placed by her children, Gary Downs, Barb LeClair, John Downs, Bill Downs, Peg Guynup, Ray Downs, Jan Downs, Mary Lou Duquette, and Bett Bassett. The crucifix was placed by grandchildren, Kelley LeClair, Courtney Lamberton, and Logan Duquette. Readers were grandchildren, Elissa Guynup, Jess Bassett, and Lindsey Downie. Words of remembrance were offered by daughters, Mary Lou Duquette, and Bett Bassett, and grandchildren, Elissa Duso, Lindsey Downie, and Kelley LeClair. Pallbearers were grandsons, Shawn Downs, Benjamin Downs, Nathan Guynup, Christopher Guynup, Dennis Downs, Darren Downs, Matthew Moore, and Adam Bassett. Burial followed in the parish cemetery, where Msgr. Deno recited committal prayers. A gathering followed at the St. James Parish Center.
