A Mass of Christian burial for Clarence L. Baker, 77, who died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at his home, was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. L. William Gordon, retired, and concelebrated by Rev. J. Roger McGuinness, Pastor. The altar servers were Celine Juneau and Alain Juneau. The Eucharistic ministers were Noreen Barcomb and Judy Pombrio. The organist was George Shnob and the soloist was Mitch Willette. The pall was placed by James Baker, David Baker, Loren Baker, Michelle Gruetzmacher and Mary Trudo. The crucifix and rosary were placed by Irene Baker. The readers were James Baker and William Trudo. The offertory gifts were presented by Charlene Baker, Sus Baker and Scott Gruetmacher. Words of remembrance were shared by James Baker. The pallbearers were Cory Baker, Kyle Baker, Benjamin Baker, Jason Baker, Stephen Trudo and Sarah Trudo, all grandchildren. Burial followed in the parish cemetery where Rev. Gordon read committal prayers and full military honors were accorded by the Vermont Air National Guard and American Legion Post 20.
