BOYEA — A Mass of Christian burial was concelebrated Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from Holy Angel's Church in Altona, N.Y., for Douglas H. "Doug" Boyea, 72, who died Friday, March 1, at the CVPH Medical Center. Rev. Gilbert Boisvert, Pastor, celebrated the Mass. Rev. Gerald Cerank, Pastor of St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks concelebrated the Mass, assisted by Eli Lambert. Organist was Mary Ann Lawliss. Doris Barcomb, Pearl Lashway, Curtis Boyea and Gary Lashway placed the pall. Mary Boyea placed the crucifix. Caleb Boyea placed the rosary. Jacob Boyea placed the Bible. Ashley Boyea and Sierra Boyea presented the gifts. Betty Ashline, Susan LaPierre and Sierra Boyea gave remarks of remembrance of Doug's life. Pallbearers were Bob Lacey, Lefty Manor, John Paul Demarse, Roger Forgette, Billy Guerin, Roy Racine, Scott Lashway and John Toohill. Altona Fire Department, Rockside Senior Citizens and Ellenburg Council K of C presented as honor guard. Burial will be later in the year in the parish cemetery.
