Walter Owen Stacey

STACEY - A Mass of Christian burial for Walter Owen Stacey, 81, of Davis Pond, Peru, N.Y., who died on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, was celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh. The Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Timothy Canaan, Pastor, concelebrated by Rev. Normand Cote, Rev. Vincente Jasmines, Rev. Kevin McEwan, and assisted by Deacon Jack Cogan. The altar servers were Gary Ryan, Tom Rennell and Sherman Luck. The musician was Jay Lesage and soloist was Mary Catherine Jadlos. The pall was placed by his children, Judy McKay, Kim Myers and James Anthony Stacey. The crucifix was placed by his wife, Virgie Stacey and son Aidan Stacey. The readers were daughters Kim Myers and Judy McKay. The offertory gifts were presented by Helen Dispo. The pall bearers were James Anthony Stacey, Ralph Stacey. Burial with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday May 8, at Saratoga National Cemetery.
