Earl Winch

WINCH - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday, August 3, 2013, from St. James Church in Cadyville, for Earl A. "Maxie" Winch, 82, of Akey Road in Cadyville, who passed away Tuesday, July 30, at CVPH Medical Center, with family by his side. Msgr. Lawrence Deno, pastor of St. James Church, celebrated the Mass assisted by John Miner. Guitarist and soloist was Tom Venne. Dean Winch and Patricia Winch placed the pall. Jerome Winch placed the Crucifix. Shawna Freeman and Tim Tobin read from scripture. Patricia Winch and his nephew Tim gave remarks of remembrance of Earl's life. Pallbearers were Jack West, Pat Freeman, Ed Liberty, Owen Thornton, Jack Alexander and Donny Phaneuf. NYS Department of Corrections from Clinton Correctional Facility presented as honor guard. Interment followed in St. James Cemetery, where Msgr. Lawrence Deno read committal prayers; United States Marine Corp. and American Legion Post 1619 of West Plattsburgh presented full military honors.
