Donald Ireland

IRELAND- A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at St. John' s Church, for Donald A. Ireland, 88, of Plattsburgh, who died Friday, Oct. 4, at CVPH Medical Center. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. Roger McGuiness, pastor of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy, concelebrated by Rev. Bill Edwards, parochial vicar, Rev. Daniel Keefe, retired, Rev. Brian Stitt, and Rev. Normand Cote, retired; and assisted by Deacon Jack Cogan. Altar servers were Gary Ryan, Joe and Gretchen Zalis. Eucharistic Ministers were Sharon Zalis and Tim Pearl. The organist was George Cantin and soloist was Kathy Roach. The Pall was placed by his children, Thomas Ireland, Mary Lee Ireland, Margaret Tolosky, David Ireland, Michael Ireland and John Ireland. The Crucifix was placed by his granddaughter, Caitlyn Ireland and the Rosary was placed by his wife, Mary Margaret Ireland. Readers were Mary Theresa Pearl and Sue Byther. The Responsorial Psalm was led by Kathy Roche. Offertory gifts were presented by Uncle Bob Pearl and Aunt Agnes Pearl. Words of Remembrance were shared by his son, Tom Ireland. Pallbearers were John Ireland, Michael Ryan, Matthew H. Ryan, Joe Tolosky, Jack Tolosky, and Sean Ireland. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
