A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, April 14, 2014, from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh for Kenneth C. O'Connell, 89, of Champlain Street, who died Wednesday April 9, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. The Rev. Msgr. Duprey, Pastor, celebrated the Mass assisted by Deacon Frank Bushey. The funeral pall was placed by his children Mary and Michael and the crucifix was placed by his wife Edith and his granddaughter Pamela. Scripture readings were by his granddaughters Angie and Kaitlyn. The offertory gifts were presented by his son-in-law Douglas and daughter in law Deanna. Pallbearers were George "Speedy" Arnold, Leslie Lucas, Max Recny, Murry "Butch" Morgan, Evan McDonald and Brendan McDonald. Burial will be at 9 a.m., May 5, in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh.
