---- — WILLETTE - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at St. Mary's Church in Champlain for Alfreda R. Willette, 86, who died Friday, Sept. 27, at Westminster Nursing Home in Allentown, Pa. Rev. Bill Edwards and Rev. Timothy G. Canaan, of St. John's parish in Plattsburgh concelebrated the mass and were assisted by Alfreda's son-in-law, Deacon Leonard Patrie and Deacon Jack Cogan. Altar server was Allisn Blain. Organist was Steve Burkey, who was accompanied by vocalist, Mitch Willette. The pall was placed by her children, Amy Patrie, Randy Willette and Julie DiPrinzio. Her granddaughter Julie Ashline read from scripture. Gifts were brought to the altar by children Randy Willette and Julie DiPrinzio. Daughter, Amy Patrie offered remarks of remembrance. Pallbearers were Jacob Ashline, Timothy Willette, Ken Doyle, Daniel Patrie, Zachary Miller, Alexander Patrie, Thomas Patrie and Jeremy Patrie. Burial followed in the parish cemetery on Church Street where Fr. Edwards offered committal prayers. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain.
