---- — HOBBS - A funeral service for Marie E. Hobbs, 88, formerly of the Gretta Howe Lane, Beekmantown, who died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the CVPH Medical Center was held on Tuesday, April 2, at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated by Rev. Roger McGuinness, Pastor, assisted by Rev. Scott Seymour, Pastor of St. Alexander's Church and Rev. William Gordon, retired. The crucifix was placed by Harrison Hobbs. Readings were done by Sally LaVallee and Ivy O'Dell. The gifts were presented by Nancy Hobbs and Darcy Burnell. Words of remembrance were given by Daniel Hobbs. Pianist was Jay Lassage. Pallbearers were Kent Faus, Chris Marino, Jeff Beeching, Tyler Ashlaw, Robert Dominic and Benjamin Newell, all members of the Morrisonville-Schuyler Falls Volunteer Ambulance Service. Burial followed in East Beekmantown Cemetery where Rev. Roger McGuinness recited committal prayers.
