---- — LAFAVE — A Mass of Christian burial for Norman W. Lafave, 70, of State Route 22, West Chazy, was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. The Most Reverend Terry R. LaValley, Bishop of Ogdensburg, celebrated. Concelebrants were Rev. Gerald A. Cerank, and Rev. Douglas J. Lucia. Deacon Dennis Monty, assisted. Altar servers were Jacob and Jordan Sample. Organist was George Shnob. The pall was placed by his loving wife of 50 years, Lorraine (Begore) Lafave, and children, Lisa LaValley, Lora Pombrio, and Scott Lafave. The crucifix was placed by granddaughter, Amber Duprey. Readers were nieces, Donna Lafountain and Gail Bjelko. The Eucharistic gifts were presented by his sister, Gloria Lafountain, and niece-in-law, Tonia Lafountain. Pallbearers were grandsons, Michael LaValley, Nathan Lafave, and Matthew Lafave, grandson-in-law, Bryon Duprey, nephew, Lee Lafountain, and great-nephew, Adam Lafountain. Committal prayers and bural followed in the Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum in Ellenburg Depot. A gathering followed in St. Ann's Parish Center.
