CASTINE — A Mass of Christian burial for Carol C. Castine, 88, of the Ridge Road, Champlain, who died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Clinton County Nursing Home in Plattsburgh, was celebrated on Monday, Feb. 11 at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. The Rev. James Delbel, Pastor, cele brated the Mass and was assisted by Deacon Laszlo Ivanits. Altar servers were Jack Dawson and Roger Favreau. Organist was Steve Burkey who was accompanied by soloist Mitch Wil lette. The pall was placed by her children, Clarence "Sam" Castine, Calvin Castine, Gary Castine and Guy Castine. Her son Sam Castine placed the crucifix. Granddaughters Danielle Castine, Elizabeth Eyer and Katie Terry read from the scripture. The gifts were presented to the altar by grand daughters Lisa Spenziero and Laurie Guay. Pallbearers were grandsons Justin, Nate, Caleb, Craig, Michael, Andrew and Christopher Castine. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery on Prospect Street. Arrangements are in the care of M.B. Clark Funeral Home, 196 Elm St., Champlain.
