KENNEWICK, WA. — Donald Frank Graves Jr., 70, passed away on August 21, 2013, at his home in Kennewick, Washington. Don was born April 9, 1943 in Carlisle, Pa., to Donald F. Graves, of Plattsburgh, and Virginia H. (White) Graves. His fondest memories of growing up in Plattsburgh were attending summer camp, spending time at the camp of his grandparents (Frank and Eva Graves), boating, camping, fishing, scuba diving in Lake Champlain and playing football in high school.
Don graduated from Plattsburgh High School and attended St. Lawrence University where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity until the family relocated to Arizona in 1962 and he attended Arizona State University for two years majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration.
Don spent the last 34 years in the Tri-Cities area of Washington where he worked as a computer analyst for Boeing Computer Services, Westinghouse and Lockheed Martin retiring in 2003. He followed the local Tri-Cities hockey team and enjoyed raising koi and traveling in the Northwest.
Don is survived by his wife Susan; daughter, Kristina (Keith) Graves Pond; and granddaughter, Nora Jolie Pond in Arizona; sister, Kate Simister in Louisiana, and cousins Robert Graves and Leigh (Philip) Cerone in Plattsburgh.
