AKEY - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh for Patrick F. Akey, 56, who died Sunday, Sept. 29, surrounded by his loving family. Msg. Dennis Duprey, Pastor of St. Peter's Church celebrated the Mass assisted by Deacon Mark Bennett. The altar server was Jane Kessler. Organist was George Shnob. Diane Akey, Kristie Akey, Pat Akey, Chris Akey, Joe Akey and Trent Trahan placed the pall. Diane Akey placed the rosary. Kristie Akey placed the crucifix. Kristie Akey and Pat Akey gave remarks of remembrance of Patrick's life. Angelo Arduini and Raymond Akey read from scripture. Angela Nephew and Debbie Akey presented the gifts. Pallbearers were Pat Akey, Charlie Lindgren, Joe Akey, Raymond Akey, Trent Trahan, Corky Corrado, Angelo Arduini and James Barry. Burial followed in St. Peter's Cemetery, where Msg. Dennis Duprey read committal prayers. Kristie Akey and Pat Akey recited a poem at the graveside. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
