---- — CHURUBUSCO — Clarence S. Nichols, 88, of Prospect Ave., Plattsburgh, formerly of Churubusco, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at MeadowBrook Nursing Home with his family by his side. He was born in Ellenburg, July 28, 1924 the son of Samuel and Georgianna Nichols.

He worked for Diamond International Papermill in Plattsburgh for 10 years and he was also a big farmer in Churubusco. Clarence worked at Agway of Chateaugay and Malone, N.Y. For several years until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clarence was predeceased by his wife, Gert Nichols; his parents; and a sister, Doris Degon of Malone. He is survived by his brothers, Gerald and Lawrence Nichols, of Churubusco, Francis Nichols of Ellenburg Center. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Churubusco and Plattsburgh.

At Clarence's request, there will be no calling hours and Cremation will be at Ross Funeral Home in Ellenburg.
