“Indian Lake/Long Lake couldn’t miss in the third quarter and took a 10-point lead,” Chazy coach Cory Thompson said. “They went up by 12 early in the fourth when we stepped up the defensive pressure.

“Laurin hit three 3-pointers in a row, and the last one gave us a 51-50 lead. We got the ball back and (Keenen) Hampton hit a layup to put us up three with 14 seconds left. They then took a 3-pointer that missed.”

Laurin finished with 17 points and five rebounds. Hayden Guay added 11 points, while Justin Brothers chipped in with nine points and 15 rebounds, Hampton eight points, and Alec Lapierre, seven rebounds.

Colin Farrell and Curtis Seaman paced the Orange with 15 points each. Matt Moore and Henry Sandiford each added nine.

“They have some players who can shoot from the perimeter — they made eight 3-pointers,” Thompson said. “It was a very hard-fought game on the part of both teams.

“Our players showed a lot of heart tonight by not giving up.”
