PORT HENRY — The Port Henry Village Board will hold a special meeting at 7 tonight to address advertising a position for employment.
The session will be held at the Village Hall, 4303 Main St.
All board meetings are open to the public.
Town of Elizabethtownsets dates for Brush Dump
ELIZABETHTOWN —The Elizabethtown Brush Dump on Bronson Way will be open — to town residents only — from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, April 27 and May 4, 11, 18 and 25.
The only materials allowed in the Brush Dump are: leaves, grass clippings, small branches no larger than 3 inches in diameter, pine needles and wood chips.
Items not allowed are: stumps, tree limbs larger than 3 inches in diameter, construction debris, trash and painted or treated wood of any kind.
The Town Council will monitor the use of the Brush Dump and set additional dates in the future.

Akwesasne Casino awards jackpots
HOGANSBURG — Between April 17 and 22, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino awarded $199,648.45 in jackpots.
Cindy Morris of Swanton, Vt., and an Akwesasne community member whose name was not provided each won $50,000. “Big wins are part of the game and our guests had one heck of a week,” states Director of Marketing Frank Allen.
“With most wins on internal progressive jackpot games, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino is quickly gaining momentum to finish the month of April as one of the highest paying weeks on record,” a press release said.
“With the addition of the new hotel and spa, the casino has continued to buzz with both local and regional visitors.
Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort is owned by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of Akwesasne.
