Winter Farmers Market. 10 a.m. City Recreation Center, 52 U.S. Oval, Plattsburgh. Farm-raised food including vegetables, grass-fed and pastured meats, cheeses, eggs, wines, sauces. Customers can also order online and pick up at farms in Peru and Saranac.
Fourth-annual Small-Business Saturday. Stores around North Country will be participating. Special events planned 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown Ticonderoga, sponsored by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.
Cookies and Milk Open House. 10 a.m. Champlain Memorial Library, 148 Elm St. Decorations for sale.
Holiday Shopping Expo 2013. 10 a.m. Veterans of Foreign Wars, 116 Boynton Ave., Plattsburgh. Local crafters and vendors.
Brunch with Santa. 10:30 a.m. to noon. Champlain Centre mall, 60 Smithfield Blvd., Plattsburgh. Every child will receive a small gift. Brunch available from Burger King for $1.50. Photos with Santa can be purchased from The Noerr Programs.
Book Signing. 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cornerstone Bookshop, 110 Margaret St., Plattsburgh. J.L. Torres, author of “The Accidental Native,” will be guest author.
SUN., DEC. 1
Winter Carnival and Craft Vendor Bazaar. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Time After Time Reception hall, 127 Elm St., Champlain. Family fun, games, prizes, carnival and more. Proceeds benefit the local food and toy shelves.
Purple Sunday Shopping Relay for Life Craft and Vendor Fair. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. City of Plattsburgh Recreation Center, 52 U.S. Oval, Plattsburgh.
