---- — ADELPHI, MD — Ambrose David Healey, 90, of Adelphi, Md., died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Sanctuary at Holy Cross, Burtonsville, Md. Born in Chateaugay, N.Y., on Oct. 17, 1922, he was the son of David and Theresa (Darrah) Healey. He was married to Anna Fern Dougherty on April 12, 1947 in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay.

Mr. Healey graduated from Chateaugay High School with the Class of 1939. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was employed as a Yardmaster for the Washington Terminal Company, Washington DC, and retired in Oct. 1982 after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Camillus Church, Silver Spring, Md., and a member of American Legion Colmar Manor #131 and Life member the VFW #5627 in College Park, Md.

Mr. Healey is survived by his wife of 66 years; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Ann (Via) & Ray Fugere of Ellicott City, Md., Diane & Kevin Flowers of Woodbine, Md; five grandchildren, Christopher Via and his wife Jamie, Kimberly Smith and her husband Kevin, and Phoebe, Kyle and Kevin Flowers II; and a sister-in-law, Blanche Healey of Chateaugay.

He was predeceased by his parents; a granddaughter, Melody Flowers; brothers and sisters, Gladys, William and Kenneth Healey, Geraldine Leary, and Kathryn Danussi.

Calling hours will be held at Chateaugay Funeral Homefrom 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday, Aug. 26 in St. Patrick's Church with Rev. John Looby officiating. Burial will take place at North Burke Cemetery, Burke.
