Beverly Jean Couture

ALBURGH, VT — Beverly Jean Couture, age 60, a resident of this community for the past 42 years, died Wednesday afternoon August 21, 2013, at the Saint Alban's Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with loving family at her side.

Born in Connecticut on Feb. 4, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Chaffee.

She came to Vermont at a young age, attending schools in Montgomery, Alburgh and Franklin.

On June 19, 1971, she was married to David Rodney Couture who survives her. She has been associated with Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in Rouses Point for the past 20 years. Beverly enjoyed camping, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was making memories with her grandbabies whom she loved with her whole heart. "My greatest gifts call me Nana"

In addition to her husband David of 42 years, Beverly leaves her son, Darcy Couture and his wife Tara of Alburgh; her daughter, Heather Manor and husband Brett of Ellenburg Depot, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Brianna and Cale Manor and Kane, Landon and Macklen Couture; a brother, Michael Chaffee of Alburgh; a very special person in her life, Cole Boutah whom she loved as one of her own grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Gladys Couture of Franklin; sisters and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Doug Harrod of Sheldon, Carolyn Sangermano of Rindge, N.H. and Penny Couture of Milton; favorite canine companion, Diesel, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Nelson Couture; brothers-in-law, Donald Couture and Bill Sangermano.

The Liturgy of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, 9 North Main St., Alburgh Village. Father Lawrence P. Ridgley will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place later in St. Amadeus Cemetery.

Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
