The group also holds events throughout the year honoring and thanking the veterans for their service.
The North Country organization is one of 122 Honor Flight hubs nationwide and part of the National Honor Flight Network, which, to date, has flown more than 118,000 WWII veterans to their memorial.

Departure ceremonies start at 7 a.m. at the U.S. Oval parade grounds.
A flag ceremony will be held at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade lap and motorcade to the airport.
Departure ceremonies will be held from 8 to 8:50 a.m., followed by boarding for the 9:30 a.m.
There is a welcome-home ceremony at the airport at 10:30 p.m.
