FELONY ARRESTS

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged Wednesday with aggravated harassment.

Robert J. Reyell, 36, allegedly called a woman’s cellphone from a restricted number twice and threatened to burn her house down and “ruin her family,” Plattsburgh-based State Police said.

The woman reported the incident to police at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday, according to a State Police blotter entry.

Reyell was arrested three hours later at 8 Cook Lane in the Town of Plattsburgh and was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, a felony, according to the blotter entry.

No further information was available.

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with criminal mischief Monday.

Just before midnight Sunday, Dinero Washington, 36, allegedly intentionally punched the plate glass window of Sawatdee Thai restaurant on the corner of Durkee and Bridge streets in the City of Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh City Police said.

The 8-by-10-foot section of the window will cost $1,962 to repair, police said.

Washington sustained lacerations to his arm and was taken to CVPH Medical Center for treatment, police said.

He was arrested Monday and was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Washington was released on an appearance ticket for July 22 in Plattsburgh City Court, police said.

PLATTSBURGH — A West Chazy juvenile was charged with criminal mischief July 12.

It is alleged that the 14-year-old male caused damage in excess of $250 to the Champlain Valley Education Services building, according to a news release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

He was arrested there and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

Authorities are not releasing the boy’s name because of his age.

He was issued with an appearance ticket for Family Court and was released.

PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS

PLATTSBURGH — A bicyclist was injured Thursday when her bike collided with a car, police said.

At about 9 a.m., Ross McCallister, 29, of Plattsburgh was backing out of a Olivetti Place driveway in a westerly direction when his vehicle collided with Rita Gibbons, 53, of Plattsburgh who was riding a bicycle across the driveway, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Gibbons was taken to CVPH Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of a minor facial injury and various cuts and bruises, police said.

McCallister was ticketed for unsafe backing.

PLATTSBURGH — One person was injured in a two-car accident July 12.

Shortly before 12:06 p.m., Shirley Scully, 70, of Plattsburgh was stopped in traffic waiting for a light to change when a sedan driven by Kevin Smith, 46, of Plattsburgh struck the back of her vehicle, Plattsburgh City Police said.

Smith’s passenger, Betsy Smith, 42, of Plattsburgh was taken to CVPH Medical Center after she complained of chest pain, police said.

Mr. Smith was ticketed for following too closely.
