---- — CROWN POINT — Anton Michael Santos "Mike" "Poppy", 62, of Crown Point, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at one of his favorite places, the Ticonderoga Country Club, surrounded by friends. He was born Oct. 3, 1950, the son of Antone E. and Rose Marie (Whaley) Santos.

Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served for several years on various ships. After the military he was employed with the Grand Union Company as a Deli Manager and later their Regional Meat Cutter.

He met and married the love of his life, Ann Marie, and in doing so inherited three children, June (Tim), Todd (Carla), and Dawn (Stan), that he unconditionally loved as his own. He had 5 grandchildren, Ross, Drew, Maria Malone, Meghan Leonard, and Tyler Belden whom he could not have been prouder of. His face would light up at the mention of any of his family's accomplishments.

Mike is predeceased by his parents, Tony and Rose and his wife, Ann Marie. He is survived by two sisters, Rosemary and Christine.

Mike was a very loving and generous person, doing for others, ahead of himself on a daily basis. From an early age Mike had a talent and passion for music and has played with numerous bands throughout the years. Most recently, many could hear Mike playing alongside Jim Braisted, Chuck Moore, and Gabby Defelice and any other musicians who wanted to join in during "Open Mic" night at the EMA on Thursday nights.

As per Mike's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A gathering of family and close friends will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at the EMA in Ticonderoga, N.Y., where we will celebrate his life.

Arangements are under the direction of the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.
