LATHAM, NY — Clarence B. Ryan, 89, of Latham, formerly of Plattsburgh, N.Y., died on Thursday, June 13, 2013. A World War II Army Air Corps veteran and retired employee of the D&H Railway, Clarence was son of the late Elmer T. and Julia Bassett Ryan and husband of the late Jean Biggs Ryan. He is survived by his loving daughter, Dr. Nancy Petersen of Marblehead, Mass; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan Petersen and his fianc^ Jody Roberts of Philadelphia, Pa., and Kate Petersen of Marblehead, Mass; his sisters, Dorothy Carr and Ruth Ryan of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Rita Russell of Rochester, N.Y., and Kitty Reiter of St. Louis, Mo.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial, to which all are invited to attend, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in St. Ambrose Church, Latham. Interment, with military honors, will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Plattsburgh, N.Y., at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 24. Friends are also invited to visit with Mr. Ryan's family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
