MOOERS — A West Chazy man was charged Thursday with burglary and possession of drug needles.
At about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday night, State Police were called to a residence on Simmons Road in the Town of Mooers where the homeowners told them they saw George M. Blow, 33, break into their home with another individual whom they couldn’t identify, Chazy-based State Police said.
The homeowners were at the residence at the time of the burglary, police said.
Police said the homeowners are acquainted with Blow and told police that when they confronted him, Blow asked them for a ride after he had broken into their home, and then left before police arrived.
Blow was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Thursday morning and was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony, and possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Mooers Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.
His next court date was not available Thursday.
Troopers John Atwood and Keri Brean were involved in the arrest and investigation.
State Police are searching for the other person who was involved in the alleged burglary.
CHAMPLAIN — A West Chazy man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing a vacuum pump.
The incident occurred on Feb. 18, Chazy-based State Police said.
It is alleged that Ronald R. Boyd Jr., 22, broke into a building and stole a vacuum pump used in the maple syrup-making process, police said.
The pump, which is valued at $4,000, belongs to a person who makes maple syrup as a hobby, police said.
Boyd was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.
He was arraigned in Champlain Town Court and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
Boyd’s next court date was not available Thursday.
