PLATTSBURGH — Two people were injured in a two-car accident Thursday.
Shortly before 3:36 p.m., a car driven by Jessica L. Smith, 23, of Chazy was traveling east in the right-hand lane of Cornelia Street in the City of Plattsburgh, approaching Dunkin Donuts, when a vehicle driven by Traci L. Wager, 43, of Keeseville, who was traveling west turned in front of Smith’s vehicle intending to go into the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, according to Plattsburgh City Police.
The right front corner of Wager’s car struck the left front portion of Smith’s vehicle, police said.
Smith was transported to CVPH Medical Center, along with her passenger, Ian Desjardins, 23, of Chazy. Smith was complaining of wrist pain and Desjardins had back pain, police said.
Desjardins was treated and released, while Smith was still under evaluation at CVPH Thursday night.
Wager was ticketed for failure to yield to right of way when making a left turn and for driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
WESTVILLE — Two people were injured in a two-car accident Tuesday.
Shortly before 12:40 p.m., Allen R. Arno, 57, of Constable, who was traveling north on State Route 37 near Flat Rock Road in Westville, slowed his vehicle to turn into the driveway of Shat’s Deli, Malone-based State Police said.
Secilley C. Shipman, 19, of Malone, was allegedly following too closely as she drove north on Route 37, police said. Shipman lost control of her vehicle and struck the rear passenger side of Arno’s car, causing damage to both vehicles, police said.
Two people were transported to a hospital where they were treated and released.
State Police could provide no further information including the names of the two people injured and any tickets that were issued.
