Rosemary Mae Rasco

CADYVILLE — Rosemary "Mae" Rasco, 78 of Rte. 3 died Tuesday morning March 11, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, April 14, 1935, the daughter of Elmer and Lyia (Bushey) Reyell.

Mae was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. She loved to cook, camp, play cards and do crafts. She was most happy at the holidays when all the family was there for holiday dinners.

She is survived by her companion of 12 years, Raymond (Kojak) Provost; eight children, Douglas and Judy Rasco of Saranac, George and Soonbak Rasco of Bend, Oregon, Randy and Lisa Rasco of Saranac, Arthur and Sandy Rasco of Cadyville, Ann and Gary Stiles of Plattsburgh, Jackie and Michael Turner of Mooers, Jeff Rasco of Saranac, Valerie and William "Larry" Irwin of Peru; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Harvey and Roger Reyell of Plattsburgh; sister, Lee and Tom Waldron of Saranac; sister-in-law Joan Reyell of Saranac and Beverly Reyell of Plattsburgh. Several nieces and nephews. Her dog Thumper and cat Callie.

She is predeceased by her husband 41 years Francis Rasco on April 25, 1995; her parents; son-in-law, James Stiles; brothers, Fred and Albert Reyell.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Brown Funeral Home in Cadyville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Church of the Assumption in Redford, entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
