FOUNTAIN - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, May 30, 2013, from St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy, N.Y., for Herbert Kenneth Fountain, 95, of West Chazy, who died Thursday, May 23, at his home under the care of Hospice of the North Country surrounded by his family. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. Roger McGuiness, Pastor, and concelebrated by Rev. Gilbert O. Boisvert, Pastor of Holy Angels Church in Altona. The altar servers were Dan Hobbs, Joe Marcil and Brian Neureuther. Organist was George Shnob. Herbert "Bud" Fountain, Gary Fountain, Sandra Barnes, Marvin Fountain and Darlene Guerin, his children, placed the pall. His son, Herbert "Bud" Fountain placed the crucifix. Shasta Fountain, his granddaughter, read from scripture. Sandra Barnes and Marvin Fountain, his children, presented the gifts. David Fountain gave remarks of remembrance of his grandfather's life. Pallbearers were Ryan Fountain, David Fountain, Michael Fountain, Raymond Myers, Jason Fountain, Jerry Smith, Bill Garrant and Wayne LaPier. Burial followed in St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy, where Rev. J. Roger McGuiness read committal prayers.
