Sentences handed down in Franklin County Court

---- — MALONE — A number of people were sentenced in Franklin County Court recently.

Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr. handled these cases:

Lori A. Matthews, 27, of Elm Street, Malone was sentenced to five years probation with the first six months in County Jail for fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, stemming from an incident March 30, 2012. She pleaded guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment and was also ordered to pay $207 in restitution.

Michael Fefee, 42, of Delancy Avenue, Brushton was sentenced to five years’ probation and a $2,500 fine for driving while intoxicated, stemming from an incident Oct. 23. He was indicted by a grand jury for felony DWI, failure to yield for a pedestrian in a crosswalk and failure to keep right. Fefee also saw his driver’s license revoked for a year.

Bradley M. Mulverhill, 17, of Pike Road, Hogansburg was sentenced to five years’ probation with the first six months in County Jail for third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, stemming from an incident Oct. 17. He pleaded guilty to Superior Court Information rather than a formal grand-jury indictment.

Sahonwese Elijah, 24, of Cook Road, Hogansburg pleaded not guilty to second-degree strangulation and other charges, stemming from an incident last fall. He was also indicted by a grand jury for first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. A conference was scheduled for June 13, and Elijah was taken to County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail $20,000 insurance bond.

Kevin Handly, 45, of Malone was sentenced to two concurrent five-year terms in state prison for violating his felony-level probation, stemming a 2010 guilty plea on two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was also ordered to serve two concurrent two-year terms of post-release supervision.

Heath H. Graham, 52, of Morris Way, Saranac Lake was sentenced to four years in state prison for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, stemming from incidents on May 7, 2012, and Aug. 22, 2012. He was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine. Graham was originally indicted by a grand jury on two counts of second-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Robert Call, 25, of Old Military Road, Lake Placid pleaded not guilty to a grand-jury indictment charging him with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, stemming from an incident Feb. 27. He was taken to County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 insurance bond.

An 18-year-old Brasher Falls youth with youthful-offender status pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, stemming from an incident Feb. 29, 2012. He was released under the supervision of the Probation Department to await sentencing on July 1.

David G. Brothers, 52, of Brasher Falls was sentenced to 1 1/3 to four years in state prison for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated, stemming from an incident June 23. He was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
