PLATTSBURGH — Two people face felony charges after being arrested during a raid that seized heroin, cocaine and marijuana.
Plattsburgh City Police reported Eirshawn Donley, 35, and Shenika Boyd, 33, both of Albany, were arrested Wednesday evening.
The raid came as members of the Adirondack Drug Task Force and Plattsburgh Police Department executed two search warrants on a Margaret Street apartment.
Police said they seized 12 grams of unpackaged heroin, 56 bags of heroin, 30 grams of crack and powdered cocaine, cash and marijuana.
The 12 grams of heroin would have yielded 120 bags of heroin, valued at $30 each once packaged, City Police said.
Donley and Boyd were each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Donley was also arrested on an outstanding parole warrant out of Albany for a parole violation on a conviction for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Both were arraigned Thursday morning in Plattsburgh City Court. Donley was sent to Clinton County Jail without bail, and Boyd went to jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. Both are due back in court at a later date.
The Adirondack Task Force comprises officers from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Plattsburgh Police Department, New York State Police, Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Wing and, most recently, the Plattsburgh State University Police Department.
