WILLETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Shelley J. Willette, 58, of Trafalgar Drive, Plattsburgh, who died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at CVPH Medical Center, was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. The Mass was celebrated by Rev. Bernard Menard, parochial vicar, concelebrated by Rev. John Yonkovig, Pastor of St. Agnes Church, Lake Placid, Msgr. Joseph Aubin, retired, Rev. Timothy Canaan, Pastor of St. John's Church, Rev. Scott Seymour, Pastor of St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville, Rev.William Gordon, retired, and assisted by Deacons Mark Bennett and Frank Bushey. The altar servers were Veronica Matott and Jane Kessler. The organist was George Shnob. The pall was placed by her sons, Matt, Dan and Erik Willette. The crucifix and cross were placed by Christopher Willette and Samantha Willette on behalf of Levon Willette. Words of Remembrance were shared by her husband, Mitch Willette. The readers were Alyssa Favro and Brenda Kirk. Prayers of the faithful were read by Jodi Wallett. The offertory gifts were presented by her sisters, Barbara Filion and Karen Batchelder. The pall bearers were Chad LaBombard, Gerald Stone, Leonard Filion, Chelsea Evans, Danielle Filion and Ryan Matott. A large delegation of nurses and corrections officers formed an honor guard. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Surviving relatives also include Shelley's mother-in-law, Mildred Willette of Rouses Point.
