PLATTSBURGH — A Central New York official must serve three years probation for harassing a local hotel employee last fall.
Thomas "T.J." Ikewood returned to Plattsburgh Town Court this week and was sentenced to probation for trying to prevent a woman from leaving his Plattsburgh hotel room last November.
State Police had arrested the Seneca Falls village trustee on misdemeanor charges of unlawful imprisonment and forcible touching.
Police believe the 33-year-old had attempted to fondle the woman when she tried to assist him with an inquiry inside his room at Best Western Inn at Smithfield.
Ikewood pleaded guilty to the original imprisonment charge shortly before his jury trial was set to begin earlier this year.
He remains on the Seneca Falls Village Board, officials said Thursday.
Ikewood, who has not returned Press-Republican messages seeking comment on the local case, has served as a trustee for several years and lost the mayoral race last year.
