PLATTSBURGH — Condo Pharmacy
has joined forces with Keep Your Pharmacy Open in hopes of expanding their reach and providing better customer service. Their Facebook page, My Local Pharmacy, has more than 64,000 fans and has a reach of almost 300,000 people.
Independent pharmacies are gaining more strength to combat advertising campaigns by big-box stores. It has been proven that independent pharmacies rank higher in customer service, knowledge about medicine, and make fewer mistakes than their corporate competitors, according to the company.
Condo Pharmacy is locally owned and operated by Steve Moore. Moore and his staff understand the impact social media has on independent businesses, and how necessary it is to push the boundaries of what customer service can be. With 850 million active users on Facebook, the aim is to strengthen the store’s relationship with its customers and the community as a whole.
Having a Facebook page enables the pharmacy and its users to interact on a daily basis, which allows for a relay of store, health, sale and neighborhood information. The store looks forward to establishing an open dialog and providing a forum to exchange ideas with its patrons outside of the store.
