New staffers

PLATTSBURGH — ETS Staffing, Recruiting and Training has added new staffers to meet growing market demand, according to CEO Deb Cleary.

Virginia Romano was brought on board as a new recruiter to help meet the influx of candidates and client demands.

Lauren LaFountain was hired as payroll assistant to help with payroll and accounting.

Sarah Merkel was added as marketing/advertising assistant to focus on advertising and the marketing materials needed to not only increase the presence of ETS but bring in candidates. The marketing efforts include a new website due to go live sometime in the spring,

Maureen Faucher joined the company as business development manager to reach out to businesses across the North Country that could benefit from ETS’s staffing and recruiting services.

Billy Davis joined the Recruiting Team to work with clients and candidates.

Director appointed

TICONDEROGA — David W. Baird has been appointed as a new volunteer director on the Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU)  Board of Directors to fill the unexpired term of recently deceased, long-time Director Richard Arthur

“I am very pleased that David has agreed to serve on the Board of Directors. His experience, temperament and commitment to the credit union philosophy, along with his many years of service on the credit union’s Supervisory Committee, will serve him and the credit union well as he transitions to his new role,” said Ralph Corbo, TFCU Board Chairman.

Baird has served as a member TFCU’s Supervisory Committee since January 2005. Employed by Reale Construction, he has an expansive background in accounting having worked at various International Paper facilities since 1974 and retiring as manager of accounting in 2008.

Established in 1954, TFCU has been serving the financial needs of its members for 60 years. It currently operates through offices on Route 9N in Ticonderoga, Meacham Street in Port Henry, Court Street in Elizabethtown and can be found online at
