Business mixer

LAKE PLACID — The Whiteface Lodge will hosts this month’s North Country Business Council mixer. 

The lodge, located at 7 Whiteface Inn Lane, Lake Placid, invites residents to Business After Hours on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Attendees will network with area business people while enjoying complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, chair massages and hand massages. Admission is $2 with a reservation. Call Jamie Costa at 523-0561 or email j.costa@TheWhitefaceLodge.com to RSVP.

Business After Hours is open to members of the North Country Business Council, North Country Chamber of Commerce and partner organizations including ROOST, Saranac Lake Area Chamber, Tupper Lake Chamber, Ticonderoga Area Chamber, Schroon Lake Chamber, Malone Chamber, North Warren Chamber, Adirondack Speculator Region Chamber, Indian Lake Chamber, Gore Mt. Regional Chamber, Whiteface Region Chamber and Stony Creek Chamber. The North Country Business Council is a division of the North Country Chamber.

Non-members of the NCBC or any partner members may call for a guest pass at 563-1000.

Session attended

PLATTSBURGH — Carolyn Tetreault, owner of A Beautiful Mess at 74 Margaret St. in Plattsburgh, recently attended an intensive, two-day training session in Fort Worth, Texas.

The training was at the headquarters of the Maison Blanche Paint Co., the company that distributes the vintage furniture paint, waxes and finishes that Tetreault carries a full stock of in her store. Annie Omar, a professional painter and owner of the company, conducted the training.
