Former school-board member says he had sex with teen

— ELIZABETHTOWN — A former AuSable Valley Central School Board member has admitted to having sex with an underage female.
Anthony D. Deyoe, 28, of AuSable Forks, pleaded guilty in Essex County Court to felony third-degree criminal sexual act.
Deyoe was a member of the School Board when he was charged by State Police in October 2007, but soon resigned. He is also a former teacher.
Police arrested Deyoe for having oral sex with a then-14-year-old girl on Oct. 13, 2007, at his home in Jay’s AuSable Forks hamlet.
The County District Attorney’s Office reported it will ask for a state prison sentence for Deyoe.
Deyoe had served on the School Board since 2001. AuSable Valley Central School District officials said that, as far as they know, the incident did not involve any AuSable Valley students.
Deyoe remains free on bail pending sentencing Sept. 16.
